Real-time ARS and Text Message Database | HOW IT WORKS
Creating an opt-in text message database allows you to continue conversations via text message, long after the speech or lecture has taken place. Here's how it works:
Problem: People (especially Kiwis) don't want to raise their hand in a large audience environment for the fear of embarrassment.
Effect: This can decrease audience engagement and overall effectiveness of the interaction.
Solution: eHand ™ is an innovative tool that allows participants to discretely participate without confrontation by using their mobile phone.
How does it work?..
The audience is instructed that they can voice their question/opinion by typing a text message using simple instructions. These instructions can either be voiced over the microphone, or put up on a slide for the audience to see.
The audience types their question on their mobile phone, without fear of confrontation and send the message to 4882. Messages are filtered for authentication by the Patent Pending eHand ™ software and made available to you in real-time on our private web-based portal.
You can then view the messages over our private website and answer them directly.
To further increase engagement, we have partnered with Texsys to give all participants a chance to opt-in to a text message database to receive a future text message. An example of this is a lecturer that wants give class members the chance receive an exam reminder by text message. The system is 100% compliant with the Unsolicited Electronic mail Messages Act 2007.

What are the main differences?
eHand ™ PLUS is a feature rich solution that allows the speech giver to only receive valid questions. All messages are filtered for any messages that might not be valid e.g.contain swear words. This package also allows the speech giver to log on after the speech and reply individually to anyone that sent a question, using the web based text reply service.
This also allows the speech giver to export all the messages to Excel, so they can review what messages were sent and adjust their speech accordingly. The system will also allow an opt-in database to be created, so all your audience members that sent in a text message, will have the chance to be sent a bulk text message by you. The system is 100% compliant with the Unsolicited Electronic Mail Message Act 2007. eHand ™ Basic will allow the speech giver to receive questions in real-time from the audience however these won't be automatically screened.
