ABOUT
eHand ™ is an Audience Response System (ARS)
developed specifically with New Zealanders in mind.
Q: Why is it that many of us choose not to answer a question in a large audience setting, despite knowing it?
A: We don't want to look like a fool.
The chances are, we wouldn't end up looking like a fool, but many find it's not worth the risk. What's unfortunate about this is that we are experiencing decreasing gains from low audience participation and engagement. eHand ™ is a great way to facilitate the buzz of a highly engaged audience.
Visiting international lecturers and presenters often point out how unresponsive New Zealanders are as an audience..
Why? What makes us different?
There are many theories on why New Zealanders often keep quiet in a large audience, but the answer ultimately resides within our cultures DNA. The aim of eHand ™ is to provide a platform that will give the audience confidence in asking questions and eventually facilitate productive verbal interaction.
eHand ™ was developed in conjunction with customer feedback text message specialists Texsys in Christchurch during 2009. The system was launched with the Health Minster Hon.Tony Ryalls speech at the Christchurch Convention Centre on Friday the 12th of March 2010.
